With Shakea Sanders winning two events and Maria Puricelli topping another, the UAA gymnastics team eclipsed the 190-point mark for the second time this season and needed every fraction of a point to eke out a 190.050-189.975 victory Sunday over Air Force on Senior Day at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

The win, UAA's second straight over the Falcons and fourth in their last six meets, lifted the team's season mark to 4-13. Air Force dropped to 5-13. The two teams will see each other again in two weeks at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's conference championship meet in Seattle, where UAA is the defending champion.

Sanders posted a pair of 9.8's in winning both the vault and floor exercise while teammate Maria Puricelli's 9.7 was best on the bars.

All three of UAA's seniors -- Courtney Williams, Lauren Agostino and team captain Meagan Byrne -- had strong performances, led by Williams' 38.400 all-around score -- the second-best mark of her career. Air Force's Jenna Dudley edged Williams for the all-around title with 38.475 points.

Agostino hit 9.75 on the vault and beam to finish third in both, while fellow senior and Byrne tallied a 9.5 on floor.
