GYMNASTICS

SELLERS PLACES FIFTH OVERALL

ORANGEVILLE -- The Swing, Spring and Flip Club's Zoe Sellers was fifth overall in the Level 4 (nine-year-old) division at the Orangeville Twisters Seventies Meet Sunday.

Sellers was third on the bars, fourth on the vault and floor and fifth on the beam.

Sarah Underwood was fifth overall in the Level 2 (10-year-old) division including a third on the floor, a fourth on the bars and fifth on both the vault and beam. Sydney Grison was sixth overall in that same division with a third on the vault and a fifth on the bars.

Emily Ernst was eighth overall in the Level 2 (12-14 division) while Dakota Pedersen was 10th in that division.

Vanessa Phillips was eighth overall in the Level 3 (10-year-old) division with a fourth on the beam and a fifth on the vault.

Sierra Voisin was eighth overall in the Level 4 (10-year-old) division with a gold on the floor, a bronze on the bars and a fifth on the vault.

Carsyn Cassidy was ninth overall in that division with a fourth on the floor. Lauren MacDonald was 15th overall in the Level 2 (8-year-old) division.

BARBARIANS EDGE WARTHOGS

Jason Dobie kicked a penalty in the first half for the game's only score as the Bruce County Barbarians edged the Wilmot Warthogs 3-0 Saturday in Niagara Rugby Union play. The Barbarians improve to 3-0 on the season.

MINOR HOCKEY

HOCKEY REGISTRATION IN SAUGEEN SHORES

SAUGEEN SHORES -- The Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey Association is holding registration nights beginning today.

All registrations take place at the Saugeen Shores Recreation Complex and the Saugeen First Nation band office. They run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday and June 22. The registration fee is $240 for tykes and $555 for all other age groups

Anyone registering after July 1 will pay a late charge.

MINOR SOFTBALL

BLACKMAN HOMERS IN 7-6 SQUEAKER

Brady Blackman had a home run as the Brian Pickett Ride Centre beat Owen Sound #1 7-6 Monday in Grey-Bruce Minor Softball League mite division play.

Natalie Gallagher and Blackman combined to strike out 12 in the win.

MEN'S SOCCER

MCMANAMAN SCORES ALL FOUR IN WIN

BARRIE -- Ryan McManaman scored four times as the Owen Sound Joe Tomato's masters beat the host Barrie Athletics 4-1 Sunday in Simcoe County Senior Men's Soccer League play.
