Spellbound by Gymnastics? Haven Offers Perfect Family Breaks to Entertain the Little Ones

    Posted: 22 Jun 2010 10:06 PM PDT

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - June 23, 2010) - If Spellbound's spectacular winning performance on Britain's Got Talent has got your young ones interested in gymnastics, check out Haven Holidays' Fun & Fitness breaks.

Introduced for the first time this year the special Fun & Fitness breaks are aimed at under-5's and include exclusive appearances from two of Britain's top young gymnasts.

Top British rhythmic champion gymnasts Francesca Jones and Keziah Gore (who will be competing alongside Spellbound in the World Championships this summer) will be appearing at Presthaven Sands in North Wales during family breaks beginning on June 28th and at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park, near Exmouth on Sept 27th.

Little ones might be even more inspired to emulate of the dazzling moves performed by Spellbound after seeing Frankie and Kezi perform at close quarters – and the breaks feature lots of fun exercise and activities to encourage youngsters to have fun keeping fit.

Among the equipment used are space hoppers, hula hoops, cones, bean bags, skipping ropes, soft-foam flyers, gymnastic ribbons and floor parachutes.

Francesca, 19, says: 'It's so important that children learn to use their bodies at a young age. I was only 6 when I first started gymnastics. Using equipment helps with all sorts of skills from hand and eye co-ordination to balancing – and it's fun!'

Keziah, 15, who is British junior champion, says: 'You're never too young to start enjoying exercise – provided it's made fun! I love learning new skills.'

All Haven Holidays parks will be offering 'Fun & Fitness' breaks on June 28th and Sept 27th with extra activities aimed at under-5's including Wake & Shake; Water Confidence sessions and Sporty Rory's Sports Day. These activities are the perfect ingredient for memorable family holidays as they are suitable for children of any ages, with the added bonus of promoting exercise and the many ways in which to make it fun.

Prices for the four night break at Presthaven Sands start at £199 for family of up to six in a Standard two bedroom holiday home, including all the additional 'Fun & Fitness' entertainment and activities.

To book click on www.haven.com or call 0871 230 1900.

Haven is also providing free sports equipment to nurseries and playgroups to encourage children to exercise. The Fun & Fitness campaign has the backing of the Pre-School Learning Alliance in England and sister organisations in Wales and Scotland, and already tens of thousands of children under five have benefitted from the scheme.

To find out details of how your child's nursery or playgroup can benefit from the Fun & Fitness equipment -- available without purchase or the need for vouchers - visit www.havenfunfitness.com.
