College Football is No Different From Gymnastics or Figure Skating Posted: 20 Sep 2010 03:41 PM PDT 1-liner, College Football September 20th. 2010, 6:15pm Subjective Judging: Sports that are judged – gymnastics, figure-skating, diving – are not deemed true sports. Should we include college football in that assessment? "It pains me to concede that college football is no better than synchronized swimming. No matter what our eyes tell us is happening, it's what happens out of view that really impacts the outcome…When Sunday morning polls results are as important – and as anticipated – as Saturday afternoon game results, something is wrong. When victories don't matter as much as how your opponent does the next week against an FCS school, this 'sport' is nothing more than a beauty pageant."
